Privacy Policy
This page covers the website at intergalactic-xyz.com. It explains what we collect, why, who handles it for us and how to have it removed. We collect as little as we can and we do not sell or share it for advertising.

What we collect
When you request a pilot
The pilot request form asks for:
- your name and email address;
- the US state where your grow is;
- your type of environment, the equipment you already use and the observation depth you are interested in;
- your main challenge, your timing and any extra context you choose to write.
When you send a message from the contact page
The contact form asks for your email address, your message and, if you choose, your name.
When you submit either form, our server also sees your IP address. We use it only to limit repeated submissions and to check the request is not automated.
When you just read the site
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and records information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser. We do not send your name, email or form answers to Google Analytics, and we do not use it for advertising.
Like any web server, our hosting provider also handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.
Stored in your own browser
The site uses your browser's local storage for two things, and neither is sent to us:
- your light or dark theme choice;
- a draft of the pilot form, so you do not lose your answers if you close it. The draft is cleared once the form is sent.
You can remove both by clearing site data in your browser.
Why we use it
- To reply to your pilot request and decide together whether a pilot fits your room.
- To answer your contact message.
- To keep the forms free of spam and automated submissions.
- To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate, through Google Analytics.
We do not add you to a marketing list and we do not use your answers for anything else.
Who handles it for us
We use a few service providers. They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service:
- Cloudflare hosts the website, runs the form handler, stores a backup of form submissions and provides Turnstile, the check that tells people from bots. Font icons are also loaded from Cloudflare's cdnjs service.
- Resend delivers your pilot request or message to our inbox by email.
- Google Analytics measures site visits. You can block it with a browser extension or Google's opt-out add-on and the site will work the same.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Backup of pilot requests and contact messages: deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Spam protection records (your IP address and email): deleted automatically after 1 hour, and, for pilot requests, a record that an email was already used after 24 hours.
- The email we receive with your request or message and any conversation that follows: kept while we are in touch or running a pilot with you, and deleted when you ask.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Email privacy@intergalactic-xyz.com from the address you used and we will answer within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live, for example in California or the European Economic Area, you may have further rights under local law. Contact us at the same address to use them.
The Observer device
This policy covers the website only. Data recorded by an Observer unit during a pilot is covered by the pilot agreement you sign with us.
Children
The site and the pilot are meant for grow operators. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top.
